WEB-BASED REFERENCES MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Title: WEB-BASED REFERENCES MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Authors: Farizatul Ezanie Mohammad Ismail

Abstract: The Web-Based References Management System is built with one goal, to make this system a useful system to the researchers. The Web-Based References Management System is mainly for researchers to cite their references that they use for their research. The references can be cited into different styles and format such as the Harvard style, IEEE style, APA style and also the MLA style. Besides that, the Web-Based References Management System is also capable to upload the articles that the researchers use and store it in a database.
Generally, the Web-Based References Management System provides the user with 6 main modules which is User Registration Module, User Login Module, Library Module, Upload Module, Bibliographic Information Module and Bibliographic Citation Module.
To create those functions, PHP 5.3.0 and HTML have been use as main programming languages. MySQL version 5.1.36 worked as software to build database system. Platform Microsoft Windows 2007 Professional/server also being used by the system to started its operation and Internet Information Server (IIS) as its web server. The reason the Web-Based References Management System was built is to help the researchers to store their scholarly articles and to help them built a list of references after they have done with their research.
Finally, through this system, its functions are expected to help the researchers in having a place to store their scholarly articles and to help them built a list of references using their preferred style and format.

Abstract: The proposed system will be called E-Tender for Procuring Product. It is a system
to help shopping mall owner (owner) to send a proposal and supplier (supplier) to
post a reply to that proposal. It will make it easier for owner to get only the
product he needs and creates a relationship with the supplier he trusts.

Authors: Lee Tzian Yuen

Abstract: This proposal had been introduced as a project to create a robot which able to help those who encounter disabilities where unable to see or move normally in daily life. This robot able to identify landmarks along the way it navigates and produce a sound of the name of the object using Mbrola speech synthesis engine. Mbrola (Multi-band re-synthesis overlap add) using a powerful selection synthesis algorithm as a diphone-based synthesizer to undergo a text-to-speech synthesis. Besides, it uses a PIC microcontroller to control the mechanical movement of the robot through a graphical user interface.

Title: Web Based E - Organiser

Authors: Muhasniza Mustafa Kamal

Abstract: The evolution of information technology is expected to give many different impact on the society. With busy users relying increasingly on computers to do their work as well as their daily task, the enabling technology is rapidly gaining importance. Surprisingly, many issues have not yet been thoroughly explored. Because of this reason, I decided to developed a web based E-Organiser as my final year project.
Generally E-Organiser provides user with 9 main modules which is Calendar and reminder Module, Search Module, Forum Module, File sharing Module, Admin Module, Bookmark Module, Todo list Module, Project Module and contact Module. To create those functions, PHP and HTML have been use as main programming languages.
E-Organiser is designed to automatically and intelligently arrange schedule of the user. It is also developed to remind users of the events via e-mails and popup reminder.
Besides that, it is capable of giving users the overall view of their timetable including their group member’s timetable which makes it easier for users to schedule meeting between them.
e-Organiser is developed purposely for administration level staff, lecturers and management staff of faculty of computer science and information technology. However, different access rights are given to different levels of staff. A well known and powerful web language/tool is used foe E-Organiser development is PHP. It is supported by mysql database as its database management system. Incremental model is applied as the system development methodology
