| Abstract: | Data warehousing is becoming an indispensable component in data mining process and business intelligence. Data warehouse often acts as a data collector, data integrator and data provider in the data mining process.
This research report reviews the development and use of a clinical data warehouse for a specific disease. The Lymphoma or Lymph node cancer is selected as the subject matter of this clinical data warehouse research work, as it is one of the cancers on the rise in the past 10 years and requires greater efforts at control.
The data warehouse provides the source for all current and historical clinical data. The clinical data warehouse can be used in conjunction with a Clinical Decision Support System (DSS) or expect system (ES), to help doctors and other health professionals to improve the quality of diagnosis, clinical care and treatment recommendation decision making for Lymphoma patients. |
