Abstract: The study describes the requirements analysis for the development of a digital library that can handle manuscript collections. This involves finding out how selected Malaysian repositories organized their Malay manuscript collection and observing the main features provided by current digital library of manuscripts collection available on the web. To ensure accessibility and use of manuscript collections an open source software, Greenstone is chosen. The paper describes the design and output of the implementation
