It helps to identify the effect of affective commitment and person-organization fit on turnover intention among employees in Malaysia. It also looks at whether Person-Organization fit interact with knowledge sharing on its relationship with turnover intention. The research also helps to study the effect of knowledge sharing on the relationship between affective commitment factors and employee turnover intention as well as knowledge sharing effect on the relationship
between person-organization-fit and employee turnover intention. This research attempts
to dissect the underlying factors that influence employee turnover intention. A
theoretical foundation was compiled for the study based on the literature review.
The research report indicates that affective commitment dimensions are made of two factors; Emotional Attachment of the affective commitment which measures
emotional attachment of the individual to the organization and Involvement and
Attachment of the affective commitment which measures involvement. The study also
proves that affective commitment, person-organization fit and knowledge sharing
dimensions; self knowledge sharing behaviour, others knowledge sharing behaviour, knowledge sharing benefit and knowledge sharing opportunity correlates negatively with turnover intention. It also indicates that knowledge sharing mediates the relationship between affective commitment factors and person-organization fit with turnover intention. |
