| Abstract: | This dissertation analyses the entry mode strategies adopted by the Malaysian
Construction Companies in their international market expansion activities and the factors motivating them to choose a particular entry mode strategy. All the 69 Malaysian construction companies that have international business dealings were approached. Of the 35 companies that responded, 21 companies chose Joint Venture, while the remaining 14 companies chose Strategic Alliance as their entry mode choice when venturing into foreign market. On the reason why such entry mode strategy was chosen, 19 companies mentioned that it was easy to establish while 16 other companies stated that such entry mode strategy are less riskier than other types of entry mode. |
