| Abstract: | This project gives a description of the tool created for this project, which is to represent 3D object as Bounding Volume. It starts with a brief introduction to collision detection, followed by identification of one problem that exists in collision detection. The solution to the problem has been proposed as the usage of Bounding Volume (simpler volumes to enclose more complex objects), mainly to speed up the collision detection algorithm. This project aims to allow users to see and try out the implementation of Oriented Bounding Boxes used in 3D collision detection scenarios. This tool enables the user to import various 3D objects, create Oriented Bounding Boxes from them, move and/or orient them and watch the collision in real time. |
