Abstract: This dissertation focuses on diagnostics of benign prostate hyperplasia using computer based program. It is important to understand needs of urologists and physicians to quickly and correctly diagnose the disease. Benign Prostate Hyperplasia is the most common proliferative disease of the prostate of men around the world. Most of the hospitals are still utilizing manual based diagnostics of benign prostate hyperplasia, and the process of diagnostics of the disease is quite long and difficult. The researcher decided to investigate how benign prostate hyperplasia develops, to diagnose significant symptoms and signs of the prostate diseases. The researcher has used interviews and survey questionnaire as a method for data collection which has helped to determine the requirements in diagnostics of the disease. This computer based program will maximize reliability of diagnostics and improve data analysis. This program will also reduce paper related workload and create centralized, effective, efficient and user friendly diagnostic instrument for urologist and physicians in urological departments.
